I'm Doug Hennig. I've been a professional software developer for more than 40 years, from the earliest days of personal computing to today's modern applications. I have worked with all sizes of customers, from mom & pop shops to $100 million a year manufacturers, on all kinds of applications, including:

• Accounting systems, including inventory control and purchasing
• Manufacturing ERP systems
• POS systems
• Licensing applications

I have expertise in:

• Converting applications using DBF files to use SQL Server, MySQL, and other backend databases
• Adding REST API functionality to VFP applications
• Reporting solutions, including output to HTML, Excel, PDF, and other file types, and scheduling reports
• Writing C# DLLs to add functionality to VFP applications, including Amazon S3 document storage and email with modern authentication
• Training other developers in using modern development techniques, including implementing Git and learning C#
